Programs

KIND...

	Initiates and funds programs that develop the potential of each child, both academically and culturally.
	Provides opportunities to learn useful life skills such as conflict resolution
	Increases community awareness of the needs of these children
	Works to strengthen existing after-school programs
	Partners with other organizations to establish such programs in areas of our community where there is a clear need
	Creates scholarship programs to help children in hardship cases attend after-school programs
	Encourages local business and community organizations and/or individuals to become involved with Kids In New Directions through financial and volunteer support

Champs

This nationally recognized, content-based curriculum is aligned with the Sunshine State Standards, and provides reading, math and critical thinking skills through themed lessons.

Spirit of Giving

Four years ago, local Boca Raton philanthropist Barbara Schmidt recognized a need for coordination among local agencies serving needy children when it came time to collect holiday gifts. Out of this vision was born the “Spirit of Giving”

“How you can help”

Children today are influenced by a society that is very different from even a generation ago. After-school programs keep them in a safe and positive environment, but often lack the resources to expand their horizons.

Kids In New Directions enhances these programs with the educational and cultural experiences these children deserve, and likely would not get elsewhere.

With your help, Kids In New Directions can continue to brighten the future for these children.

Kids In New Directions is meeting a need that is not addressed by any other organization in the community. Since Kids In New Directions is not duplicating efforts, our support goes directly to a child who may have no other options. In addition, Kids In New Directions has minimal administrative costs.
