Kids
In New Directions
was established
in 1997 to
provide meaningful
programming
within existing
after-school
and summer
camp programs
serving disadvantaged
children.
Initial efforts
working with
children in
Boca Raton’s
Dixie Manor
have grown
to include
many out-of-school
centers in
the area.
Additionally,
with the placement
of the CHAMPS
program, we
are now reaching
a total of
39 sites throughout
Palm Beach
County.
Working hand
in hand with
established
programs,Kids
In New Directionsplays
an important
role, providing
supplemental
funding and
resources that
would otherwise
not be possible.
Many children
in our community
have few of
the advantages
that most of
us take for
granted. We
are committed
to changing
that -
giving all children
the opportunities
to advance,
achieve and
succeed.
Kids
In New Directions
is comprised
of a volunteer
board of business
and community
leaders. An
Executive Director
- whose
position is
generously funded
through private
grants and public donations -
oversees the
programs we
provide, facilitates
fundraising
efforts, and
handles administrative
duties.
